Engine Conversion to O-200

STC  from DLAHF

Being operated at an airport at 6750 feet elevation the 65 hp engine would not give the power needed, an upgrade to the 85 or 90 hp engine would cost about the same as the O-200....

Also  our plans called for a full electrical system, lighting, radios and full flight instruments...

Mountain passes in the local area requires climbs to over 14,000 feet so a mode C Transponder was needed...

All worked well and performance allows climb rates at gross weight to be over 300 fpm at 10,000 ft., enough to get over the passes with reasonable climb times....
