Started in 1954 with a purchase of a 1947 Luscombe 8A N2253K by my father Jim Cutter (center ). I am the short kid... My brother Roger ( left ) later joined the Civil Air Patrol I joined the Air Force in 1964, Stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, Arizona, which happened to be where my brother lived. My brother and I started flying lessons in 1966. We received our commercial, instructor and additional ratings.
Years pass and in 2000 I purchased a 1947 Luscombe 8A ( N2212K ). My son, Matt, purchased a 1941 Vultee BT-13A - WWII Trainer. He is presently in training for his Commercial and instrument Certificates.
WWII Photo My son, Mark, is in the U.S. Marine Corps. and will start on his Private, in the Cessna 152. Luscombe at the Durango Airport NOW.....
With the true aviation spirit, we purchase a 1978 Cessna 152 to fix up into a trainer that will meet the needs of fulfilling the FAA requirements for training Private, Commercial and Instrument ratings.
Entering Down Wind to Big Johnson Airport ( KBJA ) Its first flight was on October 25th 2002.
The desire in us for a high performance aircraft moved us to add one more item to the hanger A custom built Pitts S-1XS
This was added to the hanger in December of 2002
